Hit and Run Turns Into Homicide Investigation in Greensboro; Photo of Suspect Released

Police looking for driver who hit 41-year-old Tiffiney Williams twice with his car, which led to her death.

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WFMY)-- A woman died after a driver intentionally hit her twice at a gas station in Greensboro, police confirm.

Police say the crime is now a homicide investigation and they're looking for the person who hit 41-year-old Tiffiney Nicole Williams causing her death.

Officers say they found Williams after responding to a hit and run around 2:00 a.m., on August 4 at Mobil Fairway One Stop store. The store is located in the 1600 block of S. Elm-Eugene Street.

Williams was able to tell officers she was hit by a person driving a light colored Mercedes Benz. She said the driver hit her with the front of the car and then put the car in reverse and hit her again.

Police say Williams died later the same day at Cone Hospital. The state medical examiners office told police Wililams' death was caused by blunt force trauma and ruled it a homicide.

The driver left the scene and police are now looking for the man. The car he was driving is a 1998-2001 Mercedes E-320 series. He's described as African American man with medium build and is 5'10"-6' tall.
