HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Kickback Jack's in High Point will be holding a fundraiser Thursday to help Tyler Bova.

Tyler is the lone survivor of a car crash last month in Utah. He was traveling with his parents, Holly and Tyrone Bova, and his younger brother Haden, who all died in the car crash.

Tyler, 17, is still in the hospital in Utah and is slowly working toward recovery.

He worked as a server at Kickback Jack's and they are hoping a fundraiser might help cover some medical expenses.

"We want to do as much as we can for him and try to help out in a big way," explains Jonathan Bryant, managing partner at Kickback Jack's in High Point.

Bryant is also Tyler's cousin. He's been out to visit him in Salt Lake City and says he's getting better day by day.

"I think for Tyler to survive something like that, he's got a real purpose in life."

The event runs all day Thursday, July 19, at Kickback Jack's in High Point, located at 2410 Penny Road. A portion of all proceeds from dining in, take out and other services will go to Tyler. There will also be a raffle where all proceeds will benefit Tyler. Bryant says the restaurant group will work on setting up a fund for Tyler to help some of his future needs, too.

Last week, hundreds of community members, friends, and those who have known the Bova family for years came out to Griffin Farm in High Point for another benefit for Tyler.
