LEXINGTON, N.C. — A Lexington woman was arrested for having heroin and meth on the grounds of Midway Elementary School on Monday.
Davidson County Sheriff's Office says school officials informed the SRO about a woman acting suspiciously and appearing to be under the influence.
The SRO's K9 searched the woman's car and found a half a gram of heroin and a half a gram of meth.
Deputies say Kelly LouAnn Lawing Cox faces several drug charges, including having drugs within 1,000 feet of a school.
She was placed in Davidson County Jail under a $30,000 secured bond.
