Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Infant Taken To Hospital In Critical Condition: Sheriff

On March 11, 2019, Ryan Morris was served additional charges of Felony Attempted Murder and Felony Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury with Intent to Kill.

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — Update: A Franklinville man who was arrested and charged after an infant was found to have been abused is now facing additional charges. 

On March 11, 2019, Ryan Morris was served additional charges of Felony Attempted Murder and Felony Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury with Intent to Kill. 

Morris is still in custody at Randolph County Detention Center under a 5000,000 secured bond. 

Previous: On February 15, 2019,  the  Randolph County Sheriff's Office received a report in reference to a possible case of child abuse from Randolph Health. The infant was admitted to Randolph Health and then taken to Brenner's Children's Hospital. 

The infant is still in critical condition. 

Ryan Thomas Morris was charged with Felony Child Abuse Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury.

Morris was arrested and taken to Randolph County Detention Center and given a $500,000 Secured Bond.
