THOMASVILLE, N.C. (WFMY)-- A man is in critical condition after falling from a bridge onto the shoulder of I-85 in Thomsaville.
The man is identified as 37-year-old Lucas Doby of Thomasville. Police say Doby fell about 25-feet from the Lake Road bridge railing and landed on the pavement near the southbound lanes of I-85. The incident happened Friday, May 25 around 5:15pm.
The fall left Doby with life threatening injuries, police say.
Fortunately he was not hit by any cars, according to a news release from Thomasville Police.
Police are still investigating to see what happened. No other information has been released since Friday.
