A Greensboro man on a scooter died in a two-vehicle crash the morning of January 2 according to police. The other driver was charged. 

Tahquann Nipper, of Browns Summit, was driving a Lexus GS300 south on Yanceyville Street in Greensboro when he turned left onto E. Cone Blvd. While making the turn, John Derek Jackson, of Greensboro, crashed a Vespa Scooter into the front of Nipper's car. Jackson, 47, died from his injuries. Nipper was cited and released for Failure to Yield in addition to Misdemeanor Death by Vehicle.

The intersection of E. Cone Blvd. and Yanceyville St. was blocked while police investigated. 

Nipper wasn't injured. Guilford County EMS said the call for the crash came in around 7:35.
