Man Shot at Winston-Salem Cook Out Dies, Suspect Arrested

US Marshals arrested Jamel Shannon Kinzer in Charlotte on Thursday.

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (WFMY) - Police say a man who was shot at a Winston-Salem Cook Out restaurant over the weekend died from his injuries on Wednesday.

The shooting happened at the Cook Out on Peters Creek Parkway last Sunday. Police say two men in separate vehicles got into an argument in the drive-thru line and that's when the shooting happened.

Officers say Gabriel Dominguez Parral was found with gunshot wounds in his head and neck. He was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries where he died a few days later.

Police say US Marshals arrested Jamel Shannon Kinzer, 28, in Charlotte on Thursday in connection to the shooting.

Police say at this point in the investigation, Kinzer has been charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury.
