GREENSBORO, NC (WFMY) -- Heart disease is the number one killer in the U.S. and stroke is the fifth leading cause of death in the nation. That’s why events such as the Greater Guilford Heart & Stroke Walk are so important.
More than 3,000 Guilford County residents participated in the walk Saturday, May 19, on the campus of UNCG and helped raise more than $320,000!
The donated money goes towards heart disease and stroke research, as well as prevention education.
For those interested in donating, funds are still being accepted through June 30.
