2 The Rescue: Sanders Searches For A Forever Home

Sanders came to the shelter missing his right rear leg, but according to Sanders nothing is missing. He believes he's just like every other pup.

Sanders is a handsome, Some-kind-of-hound/Lab mix, who originally came to Guilford County Animal Shelter on November 28, 2018. He was adopted but brought back to the shelter because he didn’t get along with the adopter’s other dogs. So Sanders needs to be in a home as an “only” dog. Also, he apparently doesn’t like chickens, either.

Anyway, Sanders did come to the shelter missing his right rear leg, but according to Sanders, nothing is missing - he’s just fine. He runs and plays and sniffs around just like his four legged canine friends. He even has a tickle spot on his neck that when you scratch, it gets his stump going.

Sanders is very sociable and easy going, and he loves people. He is very easy to walk on a leash and would make a good companion for a family or an individual.

His adoption fee is $50 which covers his neuter, up-to-date vaccines, and microchipping. He is heartworm negative and will need to stay on the monthly heartworm preventative for the rest of his life to keep that healthy status.

If you’ve got room in your home and your heart for this fun-loving, easy-going dog, come by Guilford County Animal Shelter today, and meet Sanders. He’s ready to go home and start his life with you!
