ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, NC -- On Friday new additions to the Rockingham Quilt Trail were unveiled across the county.

Good Friday was not the start of the trail, but a continuation from earlier this year. The first square was displayed January 15th at the Cardwell Family Farm. Friday March 25, nine more squares were revealed to the public.

The unveilings began around 9:30 am and went until 3:00 pm Friday morning to afternoon.

Participants were able to follow a caravan led by the Rockingham County Soil & Water Conservation District too see all 9 squares be revealed.

Each square was crafted by a local artist, and was funded by the NC Department of Commerce's Economic Development Grant Program. It was also funded my multiple donations from across the community.

The trail is scheduled to be completed in June 2016.
