Second Shooting At Four Seasons Mall

A late night shooting Saturday put an end to holiday shopping.

Greensboro, NC -- Greensboro Police Detectives say 26-year-old Vernon Platt was arguing with a man inside Gap Kids. Platt then pulled out a gun and shot a 27-year-old man. Captain Gary Hastings with the Greensboro Police Department says as Platt started to leave he may have accidentally shot himself.Witnesses say they heard two shots fired on the second floor of the mall around 10:00 p.m. That's when shoppers ran out of the mall and stores immediately closed. Both men remain in critical condition at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Capt. Hastings also says the two men knew each other. An investigation is still underway.This is the second shooting at Four Seasons Mall.The first happened November 21st when 19-year-old Brandon Childs was shot to death while in the parking lot.
