WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem Police have arrested and charged two people in connection with a "suspicious" death investigation. 

Police found 69-year-old James McCormick dead inside his apartment on Sugarcreek Drive on Sunday evening. Investigators say his death is suspicious in nature. 

On Monday, December 31, police charged 41-year-old Lessie Denise Graves with First Degree Kidnapping and Common Law Robbery in connection to the investigation. She is being held in the Forsyth County Jail under a $120,000 secured bond. 

Police are not releasing Graves booking photo at this time, citing the ongoing investigation. 

On Thursday, January 10, the Winston-Salem Police Department charged 28-year-old Nathan Carlos Gilmore with Kidnapping in connection to the investigation. 

Gilmore is currently being held in the Forsyth County Detention Center under at $150,000 secure bond. 

Gilmore has a court date on January 10, 2019. 

For investigative reasons, a photo of Gilmore will not be released. 

Because the investigation remains active, authorities will not release any further details at this time.
