MOCKSVILLE, North Carolina — The N.C. State Bureau of Investigation says one of the children injured in a Davie County house fire has died.
The fire happened late Tuesday night at a home in Mocksville. Two children, ages 7 and 8, had serious burns and were taken to Brenner Children's Hospital. SBI confirmed one of them died.
Davie County Emergency Services says seven people were in the home, five of them children.
Four departments responded to the fire on Legion Hut Road.
Fire investigators are still trying to determine the cause.
