The two people found dead on the 2000 block of Cedar Fork Drive in Greensboro earlier this week have been identified.

Ricky Phayaxay, 32, of Greensboro, and Kimberly Woods, 42, of Burlington were the victims. An autopsy conducted on Wednesday confirmed that both victims died from gunshot wounds in a homicide.

Greensboro police responded to a call on Cedar Fork Drive Tuesday morning around 4:10. Around noon, police confirmed they were investigating it as a double homicide.

Greensboro police confirmed a man and a woman were found dead in a home at 2014 Cedar Fork Drive. The department is still trying to determine the manner of the deaths. Police were called to the scene after reports of gunshots.

Police say they believe it was an isolated incident but haven't released any information on a suspect at this point in time.

Police also confirm police were called to the same home Monday for a separate domestic violence incident. They are investigating whether or not the two incidents are related.

As of 4 p.m., the 2000 block of Cedar Fork between Isler Street and South Holden Road in Greensboro is closed due to the investigation. Police are helping people who live in the area get to their homes if they are blocked off.
