3 displaced after fire destroys Winston-Salem home

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A large blaze forced three people out of their home in Winston-Salem early Tuesday morning. 

The Winston-Salem Fire Department shared video on Twitter of the home on Sanford Drive engulfed in flames. 

Fire officials said more than 30 firefighters responded to the blaze. It took them about 40 minutes to get it under control. 

WSFD Division Chief Bobby Wade said three adults got out of the home before firefighters arrived. No one was hurt. 

Firefighters are still investigating the cause and haven't determined where the fire started. 

Wade said the home is a total loss. He said family is helping the people who were displaced with their living situation.
