Look up, and you'll see them on rooftops all over Cleveland. They're hidden in plain sight.

Look up, and you’ll see them on rooftops all over Cleveland. They’re hidden in plain sight.

Law enforcement officers and agents from across the country are in the city to provide security during this week’s Republican National Convention. Some are on the streets in uniforms to serve as a visible deterrent to violence. Others, armed with rifles, peer down and across downtown from rooftops.

Still others wear plain clothes and mingle with convention-goers.

There are 3,000 local and state law enforcement officers providing security in Cleveland. In addition, there are three 3,000 federal officers and agents in the city. For every one police officer you see in uniform, there’s probably one you don’t see in plain clothes.
