BALSAM, N.C. — A North Carolina teenager died Monday afternoon in a crash on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
18-year-old Alexis Bolduc, of Mocksville, was the passenger in a one-car accident. National Park Service officials said she died from her injuries. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
NPS said the car went off the road and landed on a guardrail. They don't know what caused the driver to go off the road. The accident happened near milepost 441, which is south of Asheville.
