CAIRO, N.Y. — Police in New York say a woman got so freaked out by a spider while driving, she crashed her car.
The accident happened Wednesday in Cairo, New York. Police say it is believed the woman spotted the eight-legged critter in the driver's area of her car before she crashed. She suffered a leg injury.
Firefighters, medics, and police officers all responded to the scene.
Cairo Police posted about the crash on its Facebook page, and asked all drivers with arachnophobia to take it easy.
"We know that it is easier for some drivers than others but PLEASE, try to teach new drivers and yourselves to overcome the fear and pull over to a safe place. Lives depend on it."
No word on the spider after the crash.
