GREENSBORO, N.C. — It's time for "My 2 Cents."
It's no surprise I love to travel, I've talked about it in these segments multiple times...
Well last week, I packed up and headed west to Colorado.
I had to get away, but I wanted to spend the least amount of time with others as possible. So I chose Colorado because one I've never been and two there is so much to see and do outdoors where social distancing is easier.
And BOY was the scenery just gorgeous. There were wildflowers everywhere, towering mountains, and landscapes reflecting off the water.
And as I reflected on the trip coming home, I thought, wait a second I need to take advantage of what I have here in North Carolina.
I've done a few hikes here and there but it's not enough.
And I'm starting to learn you don't have to leave the state to find adventure., from the mountains to the beaches and everything in between. Our area truly has something for everyone.
So I'm making a goal to explore a new spot in the state at least once a month. It doesn't have to be hours away, it could be just a few towns over or in my own back yard.
