Wake Forest's Bryant Crawford To Remain In NBA Draft

An honorable mention All-ACC selection in 2017-18, Crawford led Wake Forest in scoring, assists, 3-pointers, free throw percentage and steals.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest junior Bryant Crawford will forego his senior season and keep his name in the hat for the 2018 NBA Draft.

The announcement came through the Wake Forest Athletics Department Tuesday.

“I would like to thank the city of Winston-Salem and the Demon Deacon fanbase for the continual support over the last three seasons,” Crawford said. “I also want to thank the coaching staff and my teammates for fostering an atmosphere that has prepared me to take this next step in my basketball career. Go Deacs!”

In the 2017-2018 season, Crawford led the Demon Deacons in scoring (16.9 ppg), assists, 3-pointers, free throw percentage and steals, on his way to earning All-ACC honorable mention.

As he leaves Wake Forest, Crawford ranks in the program's top 10 in career assists, 3-pointers and steals, and 23rd in career scoring.

“We wish Bryant luck as he embarks on his professional career,” said head coach Danny Manning. “He has been a leader on our team for the last three years since starting the first game of his freshman year. We will miss him next season but will are looking forward to seeing his success as a professional.”

Crawford joins Wake Forest center Doral Moore who will also leave the school to begin his professional career.
