Troopers identify driver in fatal pickup truck accident in Summerfield.

Authorities say 58-year-old Stephen Keith Dorsett lost control of his truck on Plainfield Road and hit a pole Thursday.

SUMMERFIELD, N.C. — Highway Patrol has identified the victim in a deadly crash in northern Guilford County as 58-year-old Stephen Keith Dorsett.

Authorities say it happened shortly before noon Thursday on Plainfield Road off Lake Brandt Road in Summerfield.

Troopers say Dorsett lost control of the truck, hit a pole, and overturned.

Investigators say Dorsett died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
