Woman dies in rollover crash in High Point

Police said a 25-year-old woman was ejected from the car during the crash on Russell Avenue.

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Police said a 25-year-old woman died from her injuries after a rollover crash in High Point. 

The crash happened Monday night on E. Russell Avenue. Officers found the car upside down in the middle of the road. 

Police said Jasmine Monique Dunbar was ejected from the car. She was taken to a nearby hospital with critical injuries where she later died. 

The 21-year-old driver, Ronnie Lee Ellerbe Jr., and a 14-year-old boy were also hurt. Ellerbe was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The boy had minor injuries. 

Police said the driver lost control of the car while speeding. They also said the passengers did not have their seatbelts on. 

Police are investigating the crash. They haven't said if criminal charges will be filed.
