GREENSBORO, N.C. — I-85 southbound lanes near Business 85 in Guilford County have reopened early Thursday morning, according to NCDOT.
The highway was closed for about a mile north of Exit 118 due to a crash that happened around 4:30 a.m. NCDOT said the scene was cleared shortly before 6:30 a.m.
We're working to get more information from Highway Patrol on the cause of the crash and injuries.

I-85 southbound lanes are closed near Business 85 in Guilford County at mile marker 119 Thursday morning because of a crash, according to an alert from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT).
NCDOT says the "high severity incident" near Greensboro started around 4:30 a.m. The southbound side of the highway is closed one mile north of Exit 118 (I-85 BUS). The lanes are expected to reopen around 8:30 a.m.
How to get around the crash:
- Take Exit 122-B (I-73 South).
- Follow I-73 South to Exit 80 (I-74 West).
- Follow I-74 West to re-access I-85 at Exit 113.
