GREENSBORO, N.C. — UPDATE: Two lanes have reopened near Exit 220 (Randleman Road).

Three lanes are closed on I-40 West, near exit 220, after six cars were involved in a crash Friday morning, according to Greensboro police.

Greensboro police received a call about the crash around 7:50 a.m.

They said six cars were involved in a crash after one car bumped into another during a slowdown in the area and caused a domino effect.

There were two reported minor injuries. No one had to be taken to the hospital.

Witnesses said the road is backed up all the way to US-29.

Greensboro police and fire crews are at the scene accessing and investigating what happened.

The NCDOT says to expect this portion of the road to be closed until about 10 a.m.
