GREENSBORO, N.C. — Travel restrictions are loosening across the United States as COVID-19 vaccines become more widely distributed, and Greensboro is experiencing the effects.
Beginning in June, direct flights from New York to Greensboro will begin again, according to PTI Airport officials. The announcement came Wednesday via the airport's Instagram page.
Passengers from PTI will be able to fly directly to LaGuardia airport on both Delta and American Airlines, according to the post. Non-stop American Airlines flights will resume June 3, while Delta flights will resume June 5, airport authorities said.
LaGuardia Airport previously slashed flights in and out of New York City due to the coronavirus. The travel industry saw a major drop off in business at the start of the pandemic.
