As the month of December starts, some snow may fall in the mountains. The Piedmont will stay snow free this time around.

Snow will start to fall around 10 or 11pm Sunday night along the western slope of the Appalachians.

Snow may continue to fall in the mountains through Monday night.

Snow totals are expected to be in the 1-3" range for most, but local orographic effects may cause a few spots to see more than 5". 

Along with snow, winds may gust in excess of 30mph at times Monday which will blow the snow around and limit visibility on roadways.
