As the night rolls along, a line of showers and storms is pushing through. The threat for severe weather is dying down, but some gusty winds are possible. Here's what the WFMY News 2 Weather Team is tracking.

A line of strong to severe storms rolled through Tennessee this afternoon. Now, it's trying to cross the mountains and move into North Carolina. The main thing for us to watch will be if the storms can maintain strength and stay severe.

  • Storms will move through our area mainly between 8pm and 12am from west to east
  • Some storms could bring damaging wind gusts
  • Keep an eye on watches and warnings through midnight
  • Have a plan in case severe weather heads your way

Right now, it appears as though the main threat from any storm that manages to become severe will be gusty straight line wind.
