We're tracking the threat of severe storms as we head through this afternoon into this evening. The entire area is under a "slight risk" of severe weather.
TIMING: 2 PM - 8 PM
The storm threat will begin across the Foothills around 2 p.m., then approach the Triad as we get closer to 5 p.m.
MAIN THREATS: Damaging Wind Gusts & Heavy Rain
Wind gusts in excess of 50 to 60 mph & heavy rain will be the main threats, but an isolated tornado can't be ruled out.
The severe weather threat should be over for the entire area by 11 p.m., if not before. We'll keep you updated on-air and online as necessary.
