Dorian will move toward Florida this weekend. Then, it will slowly move northward by the middle of next week. NC needs to watch.

It's possible, even likely, that Dorian will intensify into a major hurricane over the Bahamas by Friday and into the weekend. That's when we need to watch more carefully.

The most likely destination for Dorian is to hit Florida over the weekend, but even here in the Carolinas we should be paying attention. If the storm took more of a northerly turn, it could head directly toward northern Florida, Georgia or the Carolinas by early next week.
