Robbery Led to Shooting in Greensboro Woman's Death: Police

Pamela Hooks' husband exchanged shots with the suspect, who shot Hooks at their home.

GREENSBORO, NC (WFMY) - Police believe a Greensboro shooting that ended in a woman's death last weekend started as a robbery.

Police say at least two men tried to rob Pamela Hooks' husband at their home on Hidden Lake Court Saturday night around 9:30. Her husband grabbed his gun and exchanged shots with one of the men, who shot Hooks.

Hooks, 34, was taken to a hospital where she died. The names of the two men haven't been released yet.

Police say the couple's children were home at the time. One of the accused robbers was also shot and was in serious condition at a hospital. A release says police are looking for at least one other person linked to the robbery.
