Short Family Home Smolders Hours Later After Fire
17 years after the Short family’s murders their vacant home has burned down. In 2002, Mike and Mary Short were shot to death in their Virginia home in Henry County. Their 9-year-old, daughter Jennifer was missing until her body was found weeks later in Rockingham County. At this time fire officials do not know how the fire started. They also said it does not appear to be connected to their murders but they’re still investigating.
