Joe Frierson is the College and Youth Pastor at Mount Zion Baptist Church. He says the church wants to spread love during the Easter Holiday.

"We know people are hurting, we know we can be a blessing to people, so we're going to do that Friday with the gas giveaway, we're giving out gift cards for groceries and then the blood drives on Friday and Saturday."

The church will also hand out $20 grocery gift cards for the Renaissance Community Cooperative on Phillips Avenue in Greensboro. And new this year, the church is hosting two blood drives as an additional way to give back to those in need.
