Restaurant Vandalized For Fifth Time; Reward Increased

"I kind of expected it to happen again. The windows were broken in January, and it took us two months to get new ones. The minute the new windows went up, which was last week, and then they just came back and broke it again," said Rich.

ASHEBORO, N.C. -- You'd be angry if vandals broke your windows just once, right?

What about twice?

One business in Asheboro has been targeted five times in the past two years.

Bia RIch, the owner of Bia's Gourmet Hardware Restaurant and Bar just doesn't have much to say. She is at a loss for words because this just keeps happening, and it's all on video.

All Bia wants to do is cook and run her restaurant.

"They got six panels this time, it's usually a large amount -- most of them -- they try to get them all," said Rich.

Instead, she is having to deal with something all too familiar.

Broken windows.

This is the fifth time in two years someone has taken aim at her restaurant.

"I kind of expected it to happen again. The windows were broken in January, and it took us two months to get new ones. The minute the new windows went up, which was last week, and then they just came back and broke it again," said Rich.

Video shows just how spiteful the attack is.

The person doesn't steal anything, doesn't even try to break in. Just throws lugnuts at the windows and runs off.

Police don't have any leads so far.

"It's malicious, it's cowardly, and quite frankly it's ridiculous," said Assistant Chief, Mark Lineberry with the Asheboro Police Department.

Window's aren't cheap. They were quoted $5,000 to replace the latest round of busted glass.

"Definitely frustrated, definitely angry. But, I don't -– I don't know. I don't feel much anymore. The first few times I was like, ugh, now it is like OK," said Rich.

Bia may have a smile on her face, but it is definitely not "okay."

She doesn't do this job for the money, she does it because she loves it.

As for leads, the police say they have none, but the Crime Stoppers reward has been increased to $5,000.
