Police say Fleming was shot Monday night as she was walking outside in the 4400 block Baker Avenue. She was taken to the hospital and was in critical condition until she later passed away.

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Greensboro Police Department said they've arrested a woman in connection to the death of 16-year-old Sateria "Zoe" Fleming. Two others were arrested on unrelated charges, police confirm.

Police say Fleming was shot Monday night as she was walking outside 4411 Baker Avenue. She was taken to the hospital and was in critical condition until she later passed away.

Around 3:45 Tuesday, Greensboro Police tried to pull over a vehicle they believed was connected to the shooting. Police followed the car into the parking lot of the Battleground Village shopping center, where two men inside the car tried to flee.

Police say Channay Ericka Morehead, 27, remained in the car. She is charged with First Degree Murder in Fleming's death. She's being held in Guilford County Jail without bond.

Police say Courtney Tyreek Baskins, 22, of High Point, jumped and ran from the vehicle. As police followed him, Baskins ran across Battleground Avenue. As Cpl. Dwayne Diaz tried to arrest him, police say Baskins raised a handgun from his waist area, which led Cpl. Diaz to fire shots at Baskins. Baskins was taken to the hospital where he's now in stable condition. Baskins is charged with Felony Assault on a Law Enforcement Official and remains a person of interest in Fleming's death.

Police also arrested Hajji Dequan Johnson, 20, the other man who tried to run from the vehicle. Johnson was arrested for Carrying A Concealed Weapon and Resisting a Public Officer. Police do not think he was involved Fleming's shooting.
