A K-9 officer in South Dakota is melting hearts after the Rapid City Police Department posted footage of the working dog adjusting to new snow boots.
The roughly one-minute clip shows K-9 Jary confused by the large additions to his paws.
He holds them up, wondering if his partner will take off the boots.
Apparently, there will be a bit of a learning curve.
Snow boots aren't a new trend for canines. The American Kennel Club recommends all dogs be protected from snow, salt and ice particles that can collect between their toes.
"Most road salts and deicers are toxic to dogs," the Kennel Club says.
While it's not something most Florida pet owners consider with our weather, it's something canine-lovers up north should think about.
