GREENSBORO, N.C. - Several bars and restaurants on Battleground Avenue partnered for a Hurricane Relief block party. As they shut down the area around 1618 midtown, Speakeasy and Gate City Growlers.
“We just thought it's be fun to get businesses together, take over the parking lot to do something for other people,” one of the event sponsors said. “We're having a Texas style cookoff and some give aways.”
All the money from entry tickets and raffle tickets will go to the red cross. 10 percent of the money made from participating businesses will too.
