February 12, 2014, North Carolina saw some serious snow!
Some areas of the Triad reported four inches of snow. There were 80 crashes in Greensboro alone.
The biggest weather-related schedule change of the day was basketball-related. The winter weather meant Duke's bus couldn't pick them up. So, they couldn't make the 8-mile trip to Chapel Hill for that season's Battle of the Blues.
The game was made up on February 20 and the unranked Tar Heels, led by Marcus Paige, beat number five Duke.
Of course, that meant a huge celebration on Franklin Street that night.
