WILKESBORO, N.C. — It's almost time for Wilkesboro's annual MerleFest!
The MerleFest music festival is held at Wilkes Community College in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains from April 25-28.
The festival celebrates a unique mix of "traditional, roots-oriented sounds of the Appalachian region, including bluegrass and old-time music" as well as "country, blues, rock and many other styles," according to the MerleFest website.
The event will host numerous artists across 12 stages over four days.
Some noteworthy artists in this year's lineup are:
- Old Crow Medicine Show
- Turnpike Troubadours
- The Teskey Brothers
- Nickel Creek
- Sam Bush
- Jerry Douglas
- The Earls of Leicester
- John Cowan, and more.
You can check the performance schedule here.
There's still time to secure your tickets, whether you want to attend all four days or just catch your favorite artist for one day. There are also add-ons like backstage tours, camping passes and RV parking.
Plus, parking is free, plus there's a free shuttle service that goes to and from the lots.
