On May 5, 2017, people in Eden woke up to an EF-1 tornado.
The conditions creating the tornado came together without much warning... And it happened fast.
The tornado was on the ground for roughly eight minutes... And just over three miles.
It destroyed a tire shop, Eden Drug.
It damaged several other buildings and knocked down many trees and power lines.
