Greensboro restaurant offers virtual wine dinner

The Undercurrent offers a four course meal and a live Zoom meeting with a wine expert.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — If you know the Undercurrent Restaurant then you know their passion for good food paired with amazing wines. Every now and again they have wine dinners complete with a discussion with a wine expert about the food and the wine and how they pair together.  With COVID-19 you would think that would be a thing of the past but not anymore. Owner Wes Wheeler has decided to do it through a Zoom meeting.

"We thought that would be a way for people to interact with the expert and ask any questions they wish while they enjoy the food and wine from their home."

The event is May 9th, strategically placed near Mother's Day. It will feature a four-course meal with 3 bottles of wine carefully chosen for the dishes. Participants can order online and pick up the meal and the wine at the restaurant just before the event.

The wine discussion will be led by an Undercurrent favorite, Laurence Vuelta of Trinchero Family Estates.

The meals are $130 for two people but remember that includes the three bottles of wine and four courses.
