Power Restored after car damages equipment in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — UPDATE: Duke Energy said power has been restored and the cause of the power outage was a vehicle damaging equipment.

Thousands of Guilford County residents are waking up without power Sunday morning. 

The Duke Energy outage map shows over 4,000 residents currently without power within the Sedgefield and Adam's Farm area. 

According to a text from Duke Energy to residents, power should be back on this morning around 9:45 a.m. 

The text also says once they confirm the cause of the outage, they will let residents know.
