100+ jobs lost as Greensboro company closes

Deluxe Corporation will close by November of 2020.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Deluxe Corporation will close its Greensboro facility by November of 2020, impacting more than 100 employees.

The company held a meeting with employees on Tuesday and announced the news.

Deluxe Corp says the exact number of employees impacted is more than 100. Some will be eligible to work from home and others will be eligible to transfer, so an exact number is still to be determined.

The company will be providing extended notice, severance and job placement support.

Following the job loss news, Delux Corp issued this statement:

"Yesterday, Deluxe announced it will cease operations in its Greensboro, North Carolina site by the end of November. Deluxe is in the process of consolidating our real estate footprint to create “hubs” in various locations in the country. Call center operations at the Greensboro location are being relocated to our facility in Kansas City, Missouri. Some of the current positions in Greensboro will be relocated within that community and eligible employees will be offered the opportunity to transfer to Kansas City. Employees in Greensboro will be provided competitive severance packages and job placement support during this transition."
