BURLINGTON, N.C. — Move over Starbucks and Caribou. A new coffeehouse chain is preparing to invade the Triad.
Biggby Coffee, a Michigan-based chain with more than 250 locations, has targeted a March 4 opening at 1429 University Drive in Burlington, just north of Interstate 40/85.
Crews were seen working on the upfit this week. The building, formally a standalone Family Christian bookstore, will be divided between Biggby and a dentures business.
