GREENSBORO, N.C. — The summerlike weather means it's nearly summer scam season.
Here’s what they all have in common: The people show up and happen to be in your neighborhood. They happen to be able to offer you a deal but only today.
Here are a few examples, someone comes to your door offering to pave your driveway for a really low price because they just so happened to be in the neighborhood and they want cash.
Or someone says there's been a rash of break-ins around your area, and they can install a security system for free.
Or they claim to be from your alarm company and say they're doing upgrades
Either way, get their card. If the deal is good today. It will be good tomorrow. Google their names and call your alarm company to see if they’re sending upgrades. They probably aren’t.
