1 injured in shooting at CB’s Tavern in Winston-Salem, police say

Police said the woman's injuries are considered life-threatening.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A woman is in the hospital after a shooting at a Winston-Salem business on Sunday.

Winston-Salem police said they responded to CB’s Tavern at 3870 Bethania Station Road on reports of a shooting around 2 a.m. 

Officers said a 37-year-old woman was taken to the hospital before they arrived at the scene.

Police said the woman's injuries were considered life-threatening.

CB's Tavern released the following statement regarding the shooting:

"Last night, an incident occurred in our parking lot. We're relieved to report that all our staff members are safe. We're deeply grateful for the swift response and thorough investigation by the WSPD. Safety is our top priority, and we commend our security team for their professionalism in handling the situation. We remain open for business and will provide updates as soon as we have more information."

The investigation is ongoing.
