Suspect accused of firing shots in Archdale visits acquaintance's home while on the run

One of Arquette's getaway cars was found Tuesday night in Rowan County. People who live in the area say Arquette left it in the middle of the road.

ARCHDALE, N.C. — Police still don't know where Joshua Arquette is - but they've found clues of where he was. The search has expanded to Rowan County where deputies said he ditched a getaway car Tuesday night.

The search for Arquette started Tuesday morning in Archdale. Police said he fired several shots into Carolina Container. A few car changes later, he has since ended up two counties over in Rowan County.

WFMY News 2's Hannah Jeffries spoke to one of the last people who saw him before he disappeared, yet again.

Jeremy Parham's night with friends was interrupted Tuesday by an unexpected and dangerous visitor, Joshua Arquette.

"He showed up at the house with his friend and he was carrying an assault rifle," said Parham. "He's not a guest of mine. He just showed up unwanted."

Arquette has been on the run for two days after investigators said he shot into an Archdale business. Parham lives along Corriher Grange Road in Rowan County where deputies said they found one of Arquette's getaway cars.

"The truck shuts down in the middle of the road and he just leaves it there," Parham recalled.

Parham said he knows Arquette, but he's not a close friend. He said he didn't know why he came to his home. At the time, Parham said he didn't know Arquette was in trouble and he didn't feel safe knowing he had a gun.

"He was really erratic. Pacing around and everything with that gun," Parham said.

Parham also said he believed Arquette was under the influence of drugs. Shortly after Arquette left-- law enforcement came knocking on Parham's door. He claims he doesn't know for sure where Arquette went after leaving the truck.

"He's a little spun out. If you see him be careful. There's no telling what he could do," Parham warned.
