BURLINGTON, N.C. — Burlington police said they're searching for a man tied to a shooting Saturday.

Officers said on April 27, they were called to the 1800 block of Harris Street about a man who'd been shot multiple times. Police said he went to a local hospital to be treated for multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim is still listed in stable condition, according to police.

Officers with the Criminal Investigations Division have identified 38-year-old Marche McCoy, of Burlington, as the suspect, and he is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury.

Investigators said they believe that the suspect and victim were known to each other, and it was not a random act.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Burlington Police Department or Alamance County Crimestoppers.
