1 arrested after gun, meth, 'lean' and cash seized from raid in Forsyth Co., police say

Police said 30-year-old Timothy Renard Marsh Jr. was arrested and charged in connection to trafficking Methamphetamine in Forsyth County.

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — Illegal drugs were seized from a man accused of trafficking methamphetamine in Forsyth County, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.

Detectives with the Forsyth County Drug Task Force (FCDTF) said after an investigation, they were able to find evidence to search a home and suspect tied to illegal drug trafficking. 

Police said 30-year-old Timothy Renard Marsh Jr. was arrested and charged with:

  • Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine
  • Felony Maintaining a Dwelling for Use, Keeping, or Selling of a Controlled Substance
  • Felony Possession of a Firearm by Felon

The following items were seized as a result of this investigation:

  • 10.2 pounds of Methamphetamine
  • Over 10,000 millimeters of a Codeine and Promethazine mix, commonly known as “Lean”
  • $14,000 in US Currency
  • 1 Semi-Automatic Handgun

The Forsyth County Drug Task Force (FCDTF) was signed into existence in December 2020. The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, the Kernersville Police Department, the King Police Department, and the Winston-Salem Police Department combined their narcotic investigation divisions to create a county-wide task force. The FCDTF functions under a unified command and team structure to achieve its primary mission of identifying and dismantling criminal organizations trafficking illegal narcotics within Forsyth County.
