5 people taken to the hospital following Winston-Salem shooting

One person has life-threatening injuries and four people have non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Five people were taken to the hospital following an early morning shooting at a bar and lounge in Winston-Salem. One person has life-threatening injuries and four people have non-life-threatening injuries, according to police. 

Police said it happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, that's when they went out to Spott Bar and Lounge for a shooting call. 

When officers got there, they found one woman with multiple gunshot wounds to her torso. They said her injuries were life-threatening. 

While at the bar, officers also found another person with a gunshot wound. They said their injuries were not life-threatening. 

Additionally, police said another three shooting victims showed up at three different hospitals where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries too. 

The investigation is ongoing. Police said they will release more information when available.
