Guilford County EMS responds to stolen ambulance crash

The ambulance was reported stolen from a hospital in Randolph County.

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — Guilford County Emergency Services said they responded to a crash involving a stolen ambulance.

Guilford County EMS said they, alongside multiple other agencies, responded to a crash involving a Piedmont Triad Ambulance & Rescue (PTAR) ambulance near the intersection of Holden Road and Harris Drive in Greensboro Saturday shortly before 11 p.m.

The ambulance was reported stolen from a hospital in Randolph County.

Guilford County EMS said no patients were on board the ambulance at the time of the crash and no EMS personnel from any agency was involved in the crash, besides the workers responding to the incident.

Guilford County EMS dispatched one ambulance, one quick response vehicle and three supervisors to the scene. Three people involved were evaluated, however no one was taken to the hospital.
